Task Force Spartan
Unit Standards / Rules and Regulations
Discipline Introduction:
Discipline is a cornerstone value of Task Force Spartan. Our discipline is what sets us apart from other Units. It does not matter if you are the only member of TFS on a server; if you are wearing our uniform you are representing Task Force Spartan and you will adhere to our standards or lose the right to wear the uniform.
Training discipline.
- Orders given by NCOs and Officers are NOT up for debate. When you are given an order you are expected to comply with that order immediately. If you cannot execute an order, notify the NCO, or Officer that issued the order. If you disagree with an order you are still expected to comply with the order. You can discuss the issue with an NCO or Officer PRIVATELY after dismissal.
- When receiving instruction you will stand still, facing the instructor. Any actions, such as the use of emotes, leaning, running etc., are prohibited when receiving instruction. Serious or repeat offenses will result in your dismissal for the evening.
- Once Training has been completed and dismissed for the evening you are expected to promptly leave the server.
Firing Discipline.
- Clear all engagements with your Squad Leader before firing, throwing a grenade, or any other form of engagement. There are many times when knowing when to hold your fire is just as important as knowing when to engage.
Security Discipline.
- Many times when holding security you will be given a sector of fire. It is your responsibility to make sure that sector is always covered until told otherwise. This means when you are scanning your sector you absolutely cannot look around in other directions. You are responsible for keeping your sector secure and should be able to trust that your brothers will do the same.
Chain of Command:
- The Chain of Command is to be followed at all times. This means that when you have a problem or issue that you want to address, you are to take it to your immediate superior first.
Customs and Courtesies:
- Never criticize the Unit or a leader in public.
- In both Text and Vocal communication, you are expected to reply with an informal “Affirm / Copy / Yes Sir / Heard.”
- When addressing a higher rank a polite “Sir” will suffice until you are able to learn the proper rank for the individual.
- You will show respect in all conversations while wearing the TFS uniform. This means that racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.
- Under NO circumstances is intentional team killing acceptable.
Attendance Policy:
- Each member of Task Force Spartan is expected to be in attendance a MINIMUM of 2 Training days per week. (Monday – Saturday @ 19:30 EST)
- If the minimum requirement is not met before the night of the Campaign Op (Sunday) you will NOT be permitted to take part in that week’s Campaign.
- Training is posted daily and you are expected to check whether or not you will be in attendance!
Active Duty:
- When a soldier is considered Active they will be expected to fulfill the weekly attendance minimum.
Leave of Absence:
- A soldier can request to be put on LOA for occasions requiring an absence of up to 3 weeks.
Reserves:
- A soldier can request to be put on Reserves for any absence that will be longer than 3 weeks.
-
We understand that life happens and attendance is not always possible. However we do expect you to communicate with us.
- LOA and Reserves are not, so you can go play other games and ignore your commitment to TFS.
In-Game Courtesies:
- When in the server if you must leave before dismissal you are to notify a superior. Do not just fall out without informing someone.
- When in game if you must walk away from your controller assume the crouched position to notify those around you that you are AFK.
- When receiving instruction in game you will be expected to use “PTS [Your Name]” (permission to speak), for any questions or comments. (Think of it like raising your hand in a classroom.)
Discord Channels:
Once you complete your BCT you will be given the rank of Private at which point more channels will be viewable for you.
- Unit Announcements is where the daily Trainings and Operations will be posted. You will be expected to check whether or not you will be in attendance for that evening. It does not matter if you cannot attend, you are still expected to check yes or no.
- Infantry Attendance is where you will post if you are going to be late to the evenings Training/Op.
- Moshpit this channel is for general chat and conversation. However, This is NOT the channel for Gifs, Memes, or Media.
- TFS Memes this channel is for meme posting. The memes do not have to be Arma related but DO keep them appropriate.
- TFS Media is where you will post all videos, photos, or other media. You may also post links to your Twitch channel or other streaming platforms.
- ALL STANDARDS ARE TO BE UPHELD IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATECHATS!
- All channels are monitored by NCOs on a constant basis.
Disciplinary Actions:
- Repeat offenses of any kind will result in disciplinary action up to and including, a meeting with Command and/or dismissal from the unit. (We operate on a 3-strike rule for most things.)
We consider members of Task Force Spartan to be part of a brotherhood. We are a team that focuses on learning real military tactics from Veteran and currently enlisted service members. For those that wish to make the commitment to become a Spartan you will be held to the same high standards that we hold all of our dedicated members to. In return you will gain access to an abundance of knowledge as well as a one-of-a-kind MilSim experience.
Welcome to Task Force Spartan.
